Sun June 22, Los Cobanos! On this occassion Fish El Salvador had the opportunity to take Jim Nielsen's party fishing ..and this was a tremendous
outing. It took little for Jim to set up the trip exchange a few emails and before you know it we were enjoying an action-packed
day. There is a very distinct and well marked break at around 10.5 miles at this time and we trolleyed first towards
La Libertad in search of good Fishing and man did we score big! At around 8:45 am we had already catched our first Mahi Mahi
and soonthereafter the first of many yellowfin tunas was caught. We continued on our way to La Libertad for about
2.5 hours right on the break and we caught around 9 more 30 lb yellowfin tunas as well as a couple more transient mahi mahi's
swimming along the break. By Noon, the crew had put in a good workout as there was continuous yellowfin action
and when we were taking a small lunch break, we scored a Poker (4 Yellowfin Tunas on the line) giving Jim, Brandon and company
plenty more to worry about. Sailfish activity seemed a bit slow as we only saw 1, but Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin tuna
are out there and in great numbers as at the end of the day our count numbered 18 Yellowfin Tunas and 10 Mahi Mahis. Mahi Mahi Book your trip now HERE

Friday June 6th, 2008Another exciting experience for Zach, Allan and crew! A perfect outing that took us to the 5 mile mark to experience the
excitement of a deep sea fishing adventure close to shore. We began our journey and started seeing debris along the
coast to about 6 miles and we followed the path directly into a school of hungry mahi-mahis. There were voracious
Mahi Mahis everywhere and they were going after our lures like they had not had anything to eat for weeks...it was very cool
to see 2 and 3 rod strikes and giving our group lots of work. Pink and white lures were working just perfect!!!! There
is never a perfect day without taking home a chunky Yellowfin Tuna and we had to deliver a few of these for our friends..prior
to heading back at the end of the day we had two 30 pd yellowfins go after our lures and it was something amazing to watch. When
we reached shore Zach and friends watched how our crew takes time to prepare the fillets and carefully put the meat into iced
water and pack everything carefully into a cooler for our customers. Watching our crew fillet the fish is an attraction in
itself! Tight Lines, Mahi Mahi

May 19th -May 22nd, 2008It's been a very busy week at Los Cobanos! We've hosted 2 groups of 5 from Comalapa and these guys have had terrific
luck as both days presented a good mix of Mahi-Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna. The Second group raised what it seemed to be a 100+
lb sailfish and fought it for approx 45 minutes but that was about the only misfortune of the week. Nevertheless, a I always
say that when you cannot land a sailfish the angler will always come back for more!!! It's been a great time
at approximately 25 miles for catching chicken Mahi-Mahi and have a lot of fun with light tackle equipment. If you are targeting
a lot of small Dolphin Fish this is about the best time of the year when you will get plenty of action and occassionally a
transient 30+ lb swimmer will come along and give you an aggressive bite. The afternoons have been my favorite as for
both groups the result was almost identical. At around 2-3pm Yellowfins and Spinner Dolphins are swimming just at the 5-7
mile range and this makes up an incredible fight wand very appropriate for your medium-heavy tackle. Most Yellowfin at the
moment is weighing on average 30-40lbs. Send us an email to book your next trip here

Sat May 17th, 2008 - YELLOWFIN TIME!Gabe and friends signed up again for another exciting outing with Fish El Salvador and we were very pleased to have them
fishing with us! An exciting and adventurous group always looking for a good time and a great catch! The day started
early for the group as we picked them up at the Airport Quality Hotel at 5:30am and we did almost 1hr 30 min to Los Cobanos.
At Los Cobanos ...Captain Chepe "Diablo" Moran and mate Rene had everything ready and the word had it that there
were decent sized yellowfin tunas at approximately 20 miles. No doubt! ...Chepe and Ren delivered as the group had plenty
of fun fighting very nice 20-40 lb yellowfins. It was a very productive fishing day for Yellowfins and it is a
great moment out at Los Cobanos to if you are targeting Tuna. Give us a call TOLL FREE at 1-866-755-9200

Tuesday 22, 2008Mahi Mahi everywhere and super aggresive!!!! A day packed with plenty of excitement and adrenaline
for all anglers aboard as Fred, Paco and company totaled 34 Mahi Mahi's and 8 Blackfintunas on a short day of fishing
~6 hrs. An impressive outing consisting of a nice combination of spinning and trolley rods and techniques as well as
tuna fillet on some casting rods in the front of the boat. Each angler reeled in at least 6 fish a head and the whole experience
proved that there will be lots of Mahi Mahi once the rainy season gets here. The Marine life was gorgeous as turtles
and dolphins were spotted in large numbers and the bird activity was starting to instensify. If you love to go
fishing and catch medium sized mahi-mahi then this is the right time for you.
