Tuesday 22, 2008Mahi Mahi everywhere and super aggresive!!!! A day packed with plenty of excitement and adrenaline
for all anglers aboard as Fred, Paco and company totaled 34 Mahi Mahi's and 8 Blackfintunas on a short day of fishing
~6 hrs. An impressive outing consisting of a nice combination of spinning and trolley rods and techniques as well as
tuna fillet on some casting rods in the front of the boat. Each angler reeled in at least 6 fish a head and the whole experience
proved that there will be lots of Mahi Mahi once the rainy season gets here. The Marine life was gorgeous as turtles
and dolphins were spotted in large numbers and the bird activity was starting to instensify. If you love to go
fishing and catch medium sized mahi-mahi then this is the right time for you.

Thursday April 17, Los CobanosAnother fine day of fishing at Los Cobanos. Gabe and company headed out at approximately 8am and in route to about 25-30
miles in proximity to the Guatemalan border. There was plenty of marine life at all times throughout our trip today as bottlenose
dolphins, turtles, and jellyfish were in the spotlight during different stages of the tour. Small 10-15 pd mahi
mahi were aggresively biting on our lures and we put in a great day of fishing with spinning rods purely. Gabe and friends
saw a lot of action on thin lines and fine rods and experienced another day of great fishing aboard the Mahi Mahi. The
Dorados have moved in closer to shore by about 5 miles and have been extremely aggressive going after anything they see in
the water. It all indicates that we will see some incredible action during peak season (rainy season) right around late july
and early august.

Sun April 6th, 2008A very exciting day for David Tynan and friends, as we headed out of Los Cobanos by 7:15am and ran into a school of chicken
mahi-mahi at approximately 10 miles. A couple of first-time anglers prepared for a day's work as they reeled in their
first ever fish. Al chicken mahi-mahi's averaged approximately 8 lbs and we had the pleasure of having aboard Roberto
and Kin, who had prepared in advance all the goodies to cook a delicious "ceviche". After fishing for plenty
of small mahi-mahi we continued on our way and about 35 miles we ran directly into a pod of over 100 spinner dolphins and
plenty of birds in the area. We were very fortunate to see an abundant variety of marine life such as tuna, turtles, dolphin,
and seagulls near the boat giving us the opportunity to capture excellent memories on film. Suddenly, at around
11:00am our weakest rod in the bunch got lucky as a we raised a ~110 lb sailfish and everyone...I mean everyone; jumped from
their seat to see this creature's voracity and leaps that were breathtaking and captivating. Our spinning rod with 15
lb nylon got its day's work as everyone in the boat took turns for 3 hours in order to successfully land the fish bring
it onto the boat for about 30 seconds and successfully releasing it. What a day, and how exciting was the thrill of
fighting a Sailfish on such thin nylon....Great Experience!!!
